Merchants and Planters Bank was founded in 1906 on the premise that customers deserve the best in local service from a locally owned and operated commercial bank. That foundation has allowed our bank to develop products and services for you with a personal touch uncommon among banks today.

We have developed a wide array of financial service products for your needs and will earnestly attempt to design new offerings as your wishes are made known to us.

Our board of directors has established a strategic plan that will allow our bank to grow into the new millennium with not only the best in personal service but with the best and most up-to-date technology. We have recently provided our checking account customers with check imaging technology that will allow us to provide immediate access to your account transaction history. Your checks and deposit slips will be stored digitally at the bank and may be retrieved in optical format at a moment's notice. This feature is particularly attractive at tax time or if you should ever lose a periodic statement.

In addition to accessing our services through one of our local offices, you may also communicate with us through our full-service internet banking system and by downloading our mobile banking app. Just click on the Online Banking Login icon on our home page to find the best in personal and secure home banking!
